A recap of my 2024 travel experiences, featuring airline reviews, rankings, and reflections on the highs and lows of flying. Plus, a glimpse into what I’m looking forward to in 2025!
First of all, thank you Flighty, for helping me keep track of my 2024 trips! A brief overlook of my 2024 travels.
1. Airline Performance Overview
Best Airline Food 2024: Delta Airlines – Because they serve a Shake Shack burger!
Best Seating 2024: Starlux Airlines – At 5'10" (178 cm), I had plenty of legroom. If they could make the seats slightly wider, no other airline’s economy seating could compete with this.
Best Crew & Service 2024: Starlux Airlines – Even in economy class, the treatment was exceptional. There are so many memes and jokes about airline crews favoring business class over economy, but with Starlux, I felt like I was treated better in economy than I ever was in United’s business class.
Best Airline of 2024: Starlux Airlines – Friendly staff, comfortable economy seating, decent food, and amenities provided to economy class passengers. What more could I ask for?
Worst Airline Food 2024: KLM Airlines – This was my first time flying business class with them. While they served a variety of options, the taste was not to my liking.
Worst Seating 2024: American Airlines – Their non-lie-flat business class needs an upgrade. I sat in the last row of business class, and the seat barely reclined.
Worst Crew & Service 2024: United Airlines – I flew business class with them multiple times, and every time I asked for water or anything else, it felt like begging for money. The crew was consistently rude.
Worst Airline of 2024: While there wasn’t a single airline that was terrible this year, Air Canada didn’t leave a good impression. I experienced delays, the aircraft wasn’t great, and the service was mediocre.

3. What I’m Looking Forward to in 2025
Flying to Singapore on Singapore Airlines Business Class: One of the best airlines in the world! If I can find a decent redemption rate, I’d be thrilled to take the almost 18-hour flight in business class.
Trying Domestic Business Class:If I decide to splurge, I’d love to try domestic business class on cross-country flights, like San Francisco to New York or Hawaii, to see if it’s worth it.
Getting the Alaska Airlines Premium Credit Card: Alaska Airlines seems to be stepping up their game by offering more luxury experiences, building new lounges, and introducing a premium credit card. Plus, my favorite airline of the year, Starlux Airlines, can be booked through Alaska with a good redemption rate.
2024 was a year of diverse travel experiences, each flight offering something different to appreciate—or learn from. As I plan for 2025, I’m looking forward to exploring new routes, testing out upgraded cabins, and seeing what the world of travel has in store. Here’s to another year of flying and discovering
