What's New in October 2024

There have been some interesting updates in the travel world this October. In this newsletter, I’ll share what’s new and how you can take advantage of these changes for your next adventure!

1. Hyatt & Peloton Partnership

If you have Peloton membership, you are going to have an opportunity to earn extra Hyatt points whenever you work out on Peloton equipment at participating Hyatt properties. After linking your Hyatt and Peloton accounts, you would do your usual work out for 20 minutes or more on Peloton equipment at participating Hyatt properties. Then, you would be eligible to earn 100 World of Hyatt Bonus Points each time. The maximum of points you can earn each month is 1000 points, that is 10 qualifying workouts. For 4 months, you can stay at some nice hotels like some examples below.

2. Marriott + Aeroplan Status Match

If you have high elite status for Marriott or Aeroplan, they are offering a status match for Ambassador Elite and Titanium Elite members receive complimentary Aeroplan 25K Status. On the other hand, Aeroplan Super Elite, 75K, and 50K members receive complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status. This isn’t the best status match and certainly hard to get, but if you do have it, you should get it for some extra perks for your status.

3. KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes

You can enjoy top-tier airline service very soon (November 2024). Book your trip this month to get 30% off Saver award tickets to selected destinations worldwide within the Singapore Airlines network. There are amazing deals available! You can transfer less than 30k points from Amex, Capital One, or Citi to fly from Singapore to SFO in economy, and less than 57k points for Business Class from JFK to Frankfurt, plus many more great deals!

4. Cathay Pacific Airlines introduces its new Aria Suite

The 5th best airline in 2024, Cathay Pacific Airlines, just debuted its new suite on the Hong Kong-Beijing route on October 18. They are gradually rolling it out to more long-haul flights. If you have American Express Membership Rewards, Bilt Rewards, Capital One, or Citi ThankYou Rewards, you'll be able to enjoy this suite very soon. American Express also offers significant discounts if you book with cash, as shown in the photos below.
